The Person Behind the Systems
I'm Emma, founder of Coastal VA Solutions. Here's the story behind the business, and how I actually work with clients.
I started Coastal VA Solutions from my dining room table, out of necessity rather than a grand plan. I had a small child who needed me close by, and I was job-hunting to leave a previous workplace when someone asked me to take on contract client support work.
That work needed a business name and an ABN, and that's how Coastal VA Solutions came to exist, in July 2024. I didn't set out with a five-year plan or a niche picked out on a whiteboard, the business grew out of doing the work well and one thing leading to another.
Today I work with childcare centre directors and approved providers who are overwhelmed by their NQS and WHS obligations, and with small businesses that need their documentation and systems properly organised. I'm still the entire team, from client work through to the systems that run behind the scenes.
Why This Work Matters to Me
For most of my clients, being “overwhelmed by compliance” shows up in one of three ways: making compliance more complicated than it needs to be, not knowing where documentation lives or whether it can be trusted, or feeling constantly behind rather than ahead of requirements.
I've seen how much weight lifts off a business owner once those three things are actually sorted, not just talked about. That's the outcome I build toward with every client.
I Don't Just Tell You What to Do. I Build It.
Most compliance consultants hand you a checklist and leave you to figure out the rest. I work differently. I build and implement the documentation, registers and systems myself, so you get a finished, working system, not another to-do list. That's true whether it's a childcare compliance project or a GoHighLevel systems build.
