Frequently Asked Questions

If you have never worked with a Virtual Assistant before and you are not sure where to start, hopefully we can answer some of your questions.

If, however you can’t find the answer you are looking for please do not hesitate to get in touch.

What can a VA do?

Having a VA is just like having your very own Office Administrator or Personal Assistant, so we can do all the tasks that an in-house assistant would normally do, e.g. word processing, calendar management, travel bookings, event or tour support, email management, customer service, data entry etc. The only difference is that we work remotely from our own home office, not yours. For a full list of what Coastal VA Solutions can assist you with visit our Services page.

What hours are you available?
Our office hours are from 9am to 4.30pm (AEST) Monday to Friday. We understand that occasionally urgent things arise and you may need us to complete a task outside of these hours. That’s all part of our friendly service and another reason why having a VA who is flexible is beneficial to you and your business. Should you require any work to be completed out of hours, contact Belinda so that special arrangements can be discussed.
How much do you cost?

How much you are charged will depend on your needs and the number of hours you require our services. We prefer to keep our pricing structure nice and simple so to do that we offer a flat hourly rate for all serivces. You also have the option to select one of our ‘all inclusive’ event or travel admistration packages. For more information on our rates visit our Pricing page.

Is it better to hire an Australian VA over an overseas VA?

Absolutely! Coastal VA Solutions is an Australian business, which means that as an Aussie herself, Belinda knows the Australian culture and business environment better than any VA based in another country. She will communicate in your language and understand what you mean when you add a bit of Aussie slang to the conversation. You will be invoiced in Australian dollars, work will be completed in your time zone and will be governed by the laws of New South Wales. More importantly, we believe in supporting the Australian economy and are proud to be able to assist and support fellow Aussies to turn their hopes and dreams into successful businesses.

Do I need to train my VA?

When you first engage your new VA you will need to spend some time coaching them in how you prefer your tasks to be completed. This training could be delivered in a document with step-by-step instructions, or it could be via a telephone/skype conversation. If your business uses specialised computer systems your VA will need to be trained in how to navigate and use these systems. In saying that we are very fast learners so you will find that we pick things up very quickly.

Do you offer onsite support?

We sure do! Depending on your needs, we can provide onsite administration, reception services and EA/PA support to our local businesses in and around the Port Macquarie area, providing we have sufficient notice. We also provide onsite event and conference support to clients Australia wide. All onsite services are offered in half day (min 4 hours) or full day (8 hours) packages. Should you require us to come to you, contact Belinda so that arrangements can be discussed.

Is my information kept confidential?

100% guranteed! We work with many clients and we have access to a lot of confidential and sensitive information. We are very serious about the security of the information you provide to us. All passwords and credit card information are securely stored and we use a high level of internet security. We do have a confidentially clause in our Services Agreement and are more than happy to sign a Non-Disclosure agreement if required by the client.
