Hi, I'm Emma.

I started Coastal VA Solutions from my dining room table, out of necessity rather than a grand plan. I had a small child who needed me close by, and I was job-hunting to leave a previous workplace when someone asked me to take on contract client support work. That work needed a business name and an ABN, and that's how Coastal VA Solutions came to exist, in July 2024.

Since then I've worked with childcare centres and small businesses to build compliance systems that actually get used, not just filed away.

How does a compliance project actually work?

It starts with a discovery call, so I can understand where your documentation and systems currently sit. From there you get a scoped proposal: what's included, the timeline and the investment, before any work begins. Once you approve it, I get started.

What do you need from me to get started?

I ask for your existing documents and information upfront, or in agreed batches if that's more manageable. This keeps the project moving and gets you a finished system faster. Documents arriving piecemeal outside of what we've agreed will slow the timeline down.

Do you handle financial records or audits?

No. I don't provide financial record-keeping, bookkeeping or financial auditing services. If that's what you need, I'm happy to point you toward a bookkeeper or accountant. My focus is NQS and WHS compliance documentation, registers and systems.

Do you work hourly, or is this project-based?

Project-based. You get a fixed scope and a fixed price agreed upfront in your proposal, not an open hourly meter.

What does small business systems setup actually include?

It depends what you need. That could be getting your existing documents and folders properly organised and easy to find, building out policies and procedures from scratch, or going further and setting up a GoHighLevel portal for staff training and completions tracking. We'll scope it to what's actually useful for your business.
